I recently rescued a kitten (8 months old as estimated by the vet) that tested positive for FIV. I was heartbroken and went online to see if I could find a home for her. I was stunned by the number of articles and testimonials from pet owners and some vets, that stated FIV cats do not have to be isolated from non-FIV. As long as there is no overt aggression that results in very deep wounds, FIV cats can be kept in a home with non-FIV cats. I had no idea because I have been led to believe that they had to be separated. Please check the Internet for the myriad of information about this topic. They don't have to put down or otherwise segregated. I was pleasantly surprised. This little stray kitty is the sweetest thing since Cinnamon buns and I am going to keep her with my other animals, just as long as there are no serious fights (and I mean really serious). Please look for these articles on the 'Net.

Thank you for taking care of this precious cat. We have 7 cats, only 1 of whom is allowed to spend a little time outside in the yard. We've managed to keep all the others inside with no problem. Good luck with the cat - I hope you and your family and your cats have a good holiday season.

The reason the the Buckhead Animal Clinic is where it is now on Monroe is because when MARTA built the Lindbergh station they took the Buckhead Animal Clinic's property.

It doesn't seem right or fair for MARTA to be bullying a business that has been an important part of the community and served that community well for 53 years. MARTA should have to share their plans well in advance to any business that is going to be adversely affected to give them a chance to make plans and have input instead of just blindsiding them and taking whatever they want. I hope that everything works out without MARTA destroying a truly great Animal Hospital.

I had a pit bull who was the sweetest dog I ever knew. There are no dangerous breeds, just dogs that belong to people who cause the dog to be bad. I want to thank Briarcliff Animal Clinic for voicing this fact.

This picture is so touching that it brought tears to my eyes. My sympathy goes out to the family of Navy SEAL Jon Tumilson and of course to his loving, faithful companion, Hawkeye.

I'd like to think that no responsible adult would play this game, but the truth is that there are many "adults" who aren't responsible. It's just terrible that this is even an option.
While Vick may be speaking out against dogfighting just to improve his image, he is speaking out against it. I can't say if he's sincere or not; that's between him and his conscience. Unfortunately a lot of kids look up to their idols and try to emulate them whether they're a good role model or not. Hopefully they believe he's sincere and listen to his warnings. He may in fact not be sorry for what he did, but sorry that he got caught; at least he's showing them that you can be ruined if you're caught dogfighting. He certainly hasn't righted his wrongs, but maybe he can keep others from following in his footsteps.

To put it in perspective this game would be akin to making a game out of the holocaost or child abuse or rape. As far as Vick doing a good job by working with the HSUS I can't agree. Both are media whores and do not give much support to actual animals.

As stated by one of the best friends founders. Vick never approached them or has any contact except when his manager contacted best friends for a photo op. Best Friends declined of course.

As a further double standard Pres Obama called the eagles to say thanks for giving Vick a second chance. He never called any one connected with saving the Vick dogs and expressed gratitude for giving the dogs a second chance.

Sounds kind of like that game having a double standard, no?
