Daytime Veterinary Technician

Briarcliff Animal Clinic is in need of an experienced veterinary technician to work in our clinic treatment area. We are looking for a staff member who can work well with our team of doctors and assistants, as well as prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities when it gets busy and they are asked to work independently!  We are a 24 hour facility that performs both routine and urgent care round-the-clock.  Must be able to work a full time schedule including every other Saturday (7:15am – 5:00pm) and Sunday (7:55am-5:00pm), and AM and PM shifts on weekdays (6:45 am-2:30 pm and 2:15 pm-10:00 pm).

We are looking for an applicant who is:

  • reliable and punctual!
  • able to take digital x-rays
  • able to run in house labs
  • able to pull blood and place IV catheters
  • capable of performing common diagnostic tests and treatments for our doctors
  • must able to lift at least 40 lbs and be highly skilled in dog and cat restraint
  • friendly & upbeat, yet calm and professional when dealing with our clients, even when we get busy and stress levels are high
  • able to communicate well with clients and co-workers (a sense of humor is also important!)
  • willing to be a team player and help out however they can…even if the work is not explicitly stated in their job description!

Client Service Representative

Briarcliff Animal Clinic is seeking veterinary receptionists to welcome and care for our clients, check patients in and out, prepare invoices, and manage medical records. Other duties include taking calls via our multi-line phone system, scheduling appointments, assisting with exam rooms, collecting payment, etc.  Must be able to work a full time schedule including every other Saturday (7:15am – 5:00pm) and Sunday (7:55am-5:00pm), and AM and PM shifts on weekdays (6:45 am-2:30 pm and 2:15 pm-10:00 pm).

Because this position requires considerable knowledge of veterinary medicine, specifically for handling client questions and accurately billing medical services, we’re looking for someone with the desire to learn about our hospital’s services.

Veterinary Kennel Assistant

We are seeking Kennel Assistants to care for our boarding pets, help with our medical patients, and help keep our facilities clean!  We are looking for candidates who love animals unconditionally and are committed to our mission of providing the best possible experience for our patients AND their people. We value teamwork, learning and positivity. This is a physical job, so applicants must be able to lift 40 pounds, bend, twist, squat, etc.  Qualified applicants will be skilled in animal care, safe handling and gentle yet effective restraint.

 Overnight Veterinary Technician- Emergency & Critical Care

We are seeking experienced vet techs for our Emergency Service! This position assists our overnight Emergency & Critical Care veterinarian with seeing patients on a walk in, triage basis, as well as caring for & managing hospitalized cases. This position will also monitor our boarding pets throughout the night, and perform receptionist duties for part of the night (phones, check-in, check-out).

This full time position offers a two-week rotating schedule including a 3-day weekend every other week and a 3 and 4 day work week. Hours are 8:45pm – 7:00am on weeknights, 4:45pm – 7:00am on Saturday night and 4:45pm – 8am on Sunday night.

Applicants must be caring, positive self-starters who are proficient in veterinary technical skills including but not limited to animal care, handling & restraint, blood draws, IV catheters and infusion, SC, IM and IV injection, radiography, anesthesia monitoring, operating lab equipment and performing common diagnostic tests and treatments. Must also have excellent client service skills, be able to discuss treatment plans and fees with our clients, and accurately collect payment and post invoices. Pay is competitive and varies depending on experience, skill level and vet tech license status in Georgia.

Associate Veterinarian

We are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our team.  Qualified candidates should have at least two years experience in practice. We will also consider graduates who have completed a one year rotating internship. Must possess a can-do attitude, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be committed to high-quality case management and excellent client communication.

We are looking for candidates with interest in emergency and critical care; however, scheduling is flexible and we work with each individual doctor to determine where he or she fits best in the hospital. Our group of 16 veterinarians are as committed to the clients and patients as they are to each other. We cooperate, coordinate, and innovate together!
