A tale of a heartwarming reunion

Saturday morning at Briarcliff animal Clinic, Cassandra from Lawrenceville is going to be reunited with her lost chow Foxy after over 7 months of separation. After being together for 13 years, the separation has been extremely hard on both of them. 7 months ago, Foxy was found freshly groomed with a pink bow in her hair by Lawrenceville Animal Control, and was scheduled to be euthanized after no one claimed her for 10 days. A local Atlanta organization called Chap’s Chows Rescue saved Foxy and set her up in a foster home where she’s been for over 6 months. During that time Foxy has lost an eye and has consequently been extremely hard to place in a permanent home.

Meanwhile, Foxy’s owner Cassandra spent months looking for Foxy. She was so devastated from the loss of her Foxy, that she even held a memorial service to try and obtain closure.

Last week, Cassandra’s daughter contacted Chap’s Chow Rescue after seeing pictures online and recognizing the pink bow Foxy was lost and found wearing. After learning that Foxy was originally found near their home in Lawrenceville, she and her mother are convinced this is their lost chow!

The reunion should be beautiful and heartfelt. Both parties have been through a lot over the past 7 months. The reunion is scheduled to take place at 11:00 am Saturday, November 3rd at Briarcliff Animal Clinic, 1850 Johnson Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30306.
