According to the most current weather radar, the worst of Tropical Storm Irma will be passing through Atlanta today from around 2pm until 11pm or so. During that time we will be expecting rain and wind. Although we plan to stay open 24 hours as normal, we realize power loss is a possibility. If we do lose power as the storm comes through, we will have to forward our phone system to one cell phone, so we will be limited to one phone line until everything is restored. If this becomes the case and you are having trouble getting through via phone, other options include coming into the clinic (weather permitting), or messaging us on Facebook. We will respond as soon as we can. Please understand that we will not be fully staffed due to the inclement weather. Patient care will be our top priority, and those who were able to make it in will be working hard to make sure that all pets here with us are taken care of. We apologize for this inconvenience- we know this is not ideal as far as reaching us in case of an emergency! If you do have a pet emergency, you can call ahead or just come on in- if we lose power, we will post this information here on our website and on Facebook as soon as we can. If our power is out, we will be able to offer as many veterinary services as possible (much of our diagnostics require power, such as in house labwork, xray, etc.), but it may be necessary to seek emergency care at another local emergency clinic depending on the situation.
We appreciate everyone’s patience ahead of time should we have any trouble at the clinic from the storm! Hopefully any impact will be minimal! Everyone be safe!
